Brunch has gotten a little crazy as of late, but we're gonna upgrade the diagnosis to stark raving mad. Welcome to "New York Brunch Party," a full-blown midday bacchanal of madness at London's River Room overlooking the river Thames in the heart of London SW1. Guests enter the River Room London to what can only be described as a nightclub party during the day.

Sundays begin innocently: Start at the crêpe and waffle station, complete with its myriad of fillings, bacon, cheese, maple syrup and fresh berries among them. At the egg station meanwhile you can treat yourself to one of the best Eggs Benedict to be found anywhere in the capital. Or perhaps the pasta station is more to your liking, with varieties on offer that includes Pappardelle with Peas, Sage and White Truffle Oil. There is always a delicious roast available with all the trimmings and, if you so wish, you can also tuck into an organic Full English! A fine array of homemade desserts brings this feast to a close! Now the party starts…

By 3pm, you're four Bloody Marys deep and switching to tequila. The DJ's spinning things in the right direction, the sparklers come whizzing out, and you've moved from the sublime to the ridiculous, rubbing elbows with VIP regulars, trying to figure out why that tall brunette looks so familiar (hint: she's a supermodel). But do names really matter when seemingly every table and/or banquette is being danced on when the sun's still out?

And so it goes, a midday escape, a fantasy la dolce vita, a moment away from the outside turmoil, where the only hazards are flying Champagne corks. Once Brunch finishes, you're free to transition to evening with what can only be described as the mother of all pre-buzzes, or just follow the tall brunette upstairs to the hidden lounge in THE LONDON SKY BAR.
